Rinkei Gakuen
OOC: School RP |
School is never actually in session at Rinkei Gakuen. There are students and teachers, but all actual class time is assumed to take place 'offscreen'. This is significantly easier than trying to get people together to participate in realtime classes. |
The island's girls' academy, indeed, the island's sole educational institution, being an island of women, is Rinkei Gakuen, overseen by Principal Patchouli Knowledge and Vice Principal Ada. It teaches girls and young women of all ages, from pre-formal education up through advanced and collegiate studies. Topics taught at the institution may be considered slightly non-standard, such as Magical Theory, Enchanting, Bi-dimensional Programming, and other courses that have a different bent to them, such as Earth Science, that tests for the presence of past magical forces by testing the soil and observing their distribution.
Rinkei Gakuen consists of a small campus in the southeast of the island, west of Sand Lily Road, and east of the Yuriba River. Enrollment in the school is free to those staying on the island, and covers all grades in one building, due to the small size of the local population. In addition to classrooms, the campus contains a small school library and a gymnasium for athletic endeavors.
Rinkei Gakuen's mascot is a young catgirl with brown eyes and hair.
OOC: Student IDs |
Those attending Rinkei Gakuen may be interested in creating a student id by the following steps:
For example, if your character is 16 and was born on May 2nd, 1991, you would set '&id_age id=16', '&id_day id=02', '&id_month id=05', and '&id_year id=1991'. Teachers can use the same parent, but will set the id_type to faculty and include an id_field of study. |

Uniform
The Rinkei Gakuen uniform consists of a long-sleeved white blouse with a light blue sailor's collar (a single white stripe running along the edge of the collar) with cuffs to match, worn over a knee length navy blue pleated skirt. Accessories consist of white socks, black shoes, and a yellow kerchief worn tied in a bow at the neck of the blouse.
Classes and Schedule
Rinkei Gakuen follows the western schedule for most of its classes, in order to allow the students time to enjoy the seemingly short Yuriban summers. Classes break for the summer at the end of June, and resume the first week of September. Certain electives do occur during the summer, but that is generally left to the individual teachers.
Rinkei Gakuen offers a wide variety of classes, but they can easily be split into two categories. The morning classes form the majority of the basic, required subjects which form a wide and strong foundation of knowledge in the students. After a short lunch break, more advanced and varied electives are offered to allow the students to follow their own interests. These electives usually cover the more advanced, more specialized or simply exotic classes than those offered in the morning.
Current classes offered are listed below, along with the teachers who are responsible for them. Any questions or inquiries about any particular class should be directed either to the teacher in question, or to the principal if those teachers are unavailable.
