Talk:Hokuto
You might honestly want to revert the data box - The problem with this version is that it's HTML based, not wiki code, which is kinda problematical. We're probably going to have to convert over all the HTML ones anyway. x.x --breisleach 03:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Just noticed when rereading through this today - There's no way Hokuto would have been on a vessel bound for Yuriba in 1991. Although I really need to get around to very clearly stating this in the history section, none of the village's buildings can be considered to date earlier than the first month of 2002; the first settlers arrived in February and the island was officially opened to immigration in March. Prior to Phil-chan's expeditions - presumably, sometime in 2001, maybe 2000 - the island was uncharted and if known, only though monogatari and other stories rather than as fact.
Not a hard thing to clean up, admittedly, but I like the ramble on. :D If she was traveling anywhere else in the Devil's Triangle it's very easy to end up here, and with Yuriba's little dimensional oddities it doesn't even have to be that close. (Sidenote: Also a reference to breis as a "young fox" - She'd approve!) --breisleach 19:25, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
- Did I list it as bound for? Ach, that's certainly not correct. The going story I've been using is that she was on a small ship bound for Singapore that was caught up in a fog bank and ended up nearly running aroung at Yuriba. Hokuto had gone ashore to help figure out where everyone was and orders the rest of the crew to stay aboard when she noticed the spiritual weirdness of the island. When she got back the fog was gone and so was the ship. The supposition is that the ship traveled through the fog in 1991 and ended up slipping through the weird dimensional boundaries thanks to the devil's triangle and ended up here and in this time period. The Japan that's actually on the mainland here isn't "her" Japan. Of course she has no way to know this. I'll make a note to clarify. --Yukio 22:25, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
