Appearance

Physical Description

Nelaeryn is tall for an elf, and has an abundance of elven beauty and elegance. Her eyes are a sparkling sapphire blue and her hair color seems to vary by season, sometimes dark, sometimes light, and sometimes coppery red. She has light skin tone and a slender, lithe build.

Clothing

Nelaeryn has adopted modern clothing styles, and has a wardrobe of varying outfits. She's most at home and often seen in a cloak and outdoorsman clothing when wandering the woods near her home.

Personality

Nelaeryn is cheerful with a mischievous and joking nature. She is friendly most of the time, but doesn't have patience for those that would belittle or slight her or her friends. Sometimes her true age is revealed in her superior level of maturity, since as an elf she's much wiser than her physical form would imply.

Biography

Pre-Yuriba History

Not much is known about Nelaeryn before she arrived on the island. The story of her life in the elven village where she was born and her journey to the island remain a mystery. If you wish to uncover it you'll have to ask the elf herself, perhaps she'll share the tale with you.

Life in Yuriba

Upon arrival on the island, Nelaeryn set up a campsite in the Yuriba woods. It was a crude living arrangement, but served her purposes as she explored the island and met many of it's residents. The camp was eventually overrun by woodland rodents, mostly beavers who sought the wood of the camp to build their homes, and though Nelaeryn has a respect for wildlife, she decided that it was probably best to find a new residence rather than share a campsite.

With the help of the sorceress, Jaspelle, she constructed a log cabin near a waterfall in the mountains and took up residence. At that time she also began employment at the Riverside Bakery and sometimes used the mill building as a temporary residence.

While living in the waterfall cabin, the elf, whose appearance always held a form of enchantment, began to explore her native elven magic, using it to further develop her home.

After a slight romance related altercation between herself and the proprietress of the Riverside Bakery, she took an extended hiatus from her job there which she spent wandering and at the woodland cabin where she still resides.

Relationships

Nelaeryn has an elven mischievous, fun loving nature. There are many on the island who she calls friends and enjoys meeting new people as long as they have a sense of humor and energy. Some of her closest friends early on included Hako, Jaspelle, Tess, Hiera, and Cinnamon, but extended to many others as she met them, including Kinuko and Sabriel.

Despite her naturally cheerful nature, there are only a few that she could be said to be romantically involved. At first she spent a lot of time with Jaspelle, during the construction of her cabin, as well as socially. This relationship slowed over time when she became closer to Cinnamon, the proprietor of the Riverside Bakery. Nelaeryn had many casual relationships with others of her longtime friends, until begining an exclusive relationship with Cinnamon. This ended after several months and currently Nelaeryn has been spending most of her time with the lioness, Hiera.
