General
Standing before you is a rather old-fashioned girl. She looks to be about 18 years old and 5'2". Her hair was black in colour and cut short and layered, hanging about half-way down her neck. Her eyes are a deep emerald in colour, flecked with brown. Her face was rather pale and her jaw tight. Her clothes were, to be blunt, surprisingly old-fashioned. She adorned a long, black robe, fringed with white which showed off very little skin, tied round the waist with a white sash. On the inside of the robe, for anyone who was able to see, there was the symbol of a daffodil emblazoned; the symbol of Squad Ten of the Thirteen Court Guard Squads. Apart from this robe, however, the girl wasn't wearing anything else; she was barefoot, and wore no jewelry. At her waist, the girl wore a rather large katana called a zanpakuto, indicating that she was, in fact, a Soul Reaper.
Abilities
As a Shinigami, Lily has access to several superhuman powers and abilities. The first and foremost being her Zanpakuto (Soul-cutter sword). The blade is a part of Lily's own soul and, as such, she is rarely seen without it. She is able to transform her blade into an alternate form, known as Shikai, which grants her several new abilities. However, only one person on the island has seen the blades transformation. Lily is also training to release her Bankai (Essentially an upgraded version of her Shikai), though she hasn't achieved it at this stage. Apart from her blade, Lily is able to flash step, essentially teleporting herself from place to place in an instance. Although, as she is not as strong as most Shinigami's, this can be rather taxing on her. Lily is also very athletic, capable of performing flips and dodges that would astound even some Shinigami.
Kido
Apart from her other abilities, Lily is also versed in the art of Kido; the Shinigami form of spellcasting. Kido spells come in two forms: Bakudo (Way of Binding) spells and Hado (Way of Destruction) spells. Lily has proven herself capable of casting both, though she prefers to use Bakudo, if she uses her kido as well. Despite her knowledge of spells, however, she generally refrains from using them, owing to her low Spiritual Energy. (The source of a Shinigami's powers and abilities.)
Kido demonstrated
- Bakudo 1 - Sai (Restrain) - Locks the target's arms in place behind their back.
- Bakudo 39 - Enkosen (Arc Shield) - Summons a spiritual shield to block opponents magic.
- Bakudo 61 - Rikujōkōrō (Six Rods Prison of Light) - Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place. The target is then unable to move any part of their body including the parts that were not struck by the beams.
- Hado 31 - Shakkahō (Shot of Red Fire) - Fires a ball of red energy at a target.
Personality
Maintaining a sullen and cold demeanor most of the time, Lily is determined to uphold her Shinigami personage, unwilling to show any sign of weakness. Ignoring or brushing off most signs of affection, Lily is easily embarrassed by teasing or flirtation, clearly uncomfortable when put in such situations. Rarely speaking her mind, the Shinigami tends to keep to herself, often departing when she feels like a group has become too large. Despite her facade, Lily is a warm and caring person, often worrying profusely when she senses one of her friends is upset. When with someone she trusts, Lily can occasionally be coaxed into revealing a little about her feelings or moods, though usually she will simply avoid the topic entirely.
Occasionally, however, the Shinigami's mood dips a little further towards the playful. At such times, Lily is inclined to 'goof around' a little. Tickling, prodding, chasing and throwing pillows at her unfortunate victim. (Usually Namirra). These moments are generally rare, however.
History
Lily is reluctant to talk about her life when she was.. well, alive, before becoming a Shinigami. She will drop hints on occasion, blatantly avoiding a topic, or falling silent when something brought up, though she refuses to divulge any real information. She often seems sad when reminiscing about it, however, and often claims to be 'Homesick'.
Little is known about her life in the Soul Society as well, though this is more from lack of interest then a refusal to talk. Lily currently holds the 15th Seat in Squad Ten of the Gotei 13. (The 13 Courtguard Squads), and reports to Captain Hitsugaya, whom she greatly admires.
Life on Yuriba
Most of the time, Lily can be found moping about Leona's bar, or training at the Yuriba Gym, or in the Secret Clearing. As of late, Lily has been unusually withdrawn, even for her, preferring to stay away from groups. Despite her self-enforced isolation, she has grown close to a few people. Specifically Namirra, her sparring partner, whom she seems to hold a certain fondness for.
