Zelda Karnack arrived on Yuriba by way of a boating accident in the treacherous, and reef filled waters around the island.
Description
Zelda is a young woman in her mid twenties. Her short, auburn hair has been steadily growing and now hangs around her head in a semi-haphazard fashion, the length of which barely comes to her eyebrows. The tips are still flared with a faded red though, making her look a little like a sad candle. Her almond-ish shaped, sunny ocean eyes almost no longer make prolonged eye contact, but are still as bright and intense as ever. Delicate features arrange her face but the construction of which gives an authoritative look to it, like a leader or ruler. Alluding to her Hylian heritage, Zelda’s ears are long and pointed and her skin is fair but healthy looking, not the bleached look of geishas. Most of the time, she stands or sits with impeccable posture, owning to a regal stance, which helps to give her lean 5'5" frame some presence. Her curves are natural and proportional like the curves of distant hills on a landscape. Around her neck is a gold chain that bares the crest of the Hyrule royal family and around her arm is a simple golden coil making one loop. On her right hand is a faded birthmark. She has several piercings in her ears. The first are a simple pair of gold hoops on either side. The next pair back are a set of small sapphire studs set in gold. Her last earring is a small silver loop at the tip of her right ear. On her chest is a slim fitting T-shirt of slate grey with shoulder cups. In the center is a thick circle cut into three segments, each segment cupping a ball in the middle. Each segment and ball is a slightly different color of burnt orange. Surrounding part of the design is a wispy grey dragon with a yellow gem for an eye (think oroboros). The shirt just reaches the top of her ankle length skirt. It seems to be made of a soft and perpetually wrinkled fabric that folds in on itself many times. Starting with a light tan at the top, the skirt eventually turns into a brown color around the rim of the bottom. When she walks you can see that she is wearing a simple pair of leather sandals that wrap around her foot in a Greek style.
Personality
A spunky girl with a rapier wit, Zelda loves to socialize. Parties, swimming, meeting random strangers, it's all game for her and all fun. There isn't much that can get on her nerves and she isn't easily offended, but when she is, she'll tell you as soon as it is possible for her. That's one thing that she values above everything is openness and honesty. She will give her honest opinion and tell you how it should be, which can annoy or offend other people but she doesn't really care. It's better to be honest and be hurt than to lie and be happy.
History
OOC Notes |
Unless Zelda tells you this, or has told you this, you don't know it ICly. |
Zelda was born to Zelda and Darius Karnack in the capitol of Hyrule, Castletown. She lived a life of privilege and wealth, her father being a dignitary and lieson to the Gerudo Nation, her mother being a direct heiress to the ancient Karnack throne and adviser to the current king. Zelda's mother was admitted to the hospital when she was four and after almost a year of complications Zelda senior died, leaving her fortune, her legacy, and her heritage to her sole daughter. Darius, of course, picked up the slack, taking time off of work to tend to Zelda junior, encouraging her to take up piano, fencing, and her studies. Naturally, Zelda complied and, in general, was a good kid through middle and high school, dominating socially and scholastically. College was a whole new scene. Not really having direction or drive for anything in particular (such is the plight of the rich), Zelda decides, after two years, to get a degree in music. Since she'd been playing the piano all her life, she barely had to try at it and that left her ample time to hit the party scene, flex her booze muscles, and just goof off.
Her first real challenge didn't really come to her until her senior year, when a vagrant of Castletown approached Zelda, seemingly drunken or high. She did her best to shoo him off, but the homeless man was persistent, pleading with Zelda to let him talk to her. In a desperate attempt to get him to go away she relinquished. What happened was unexpected, the man closed his eyes, then opened them and stared right through Zelda, right into her eyes. She saw through those eyes what the man really was, a Sage of the Temple of Time, and he knew who she was, the heir to Zelda the original Queen of Hyrule, holder of the Triforce of Wisdom. He wastes no time in telling her this and that she's has the potential to be a powerful magician if she desires.
Mostly brushing off this instance as random, Zelda escapes the Vagrant and moves on with her life, but what he says has stuck in the back of her mind. After a few months of dwelling on what the Vagrant says she finally gives in and begins to do some research on the magic and mythos of her world
