Yia'elue
Yia'elue is a form of native liquor made from potatoes (much like vodka). However, the resulting liquid is then sealed in wooden casks for several months with dried chili peppers (usually the Ochre Salamander), giving the final product a sharp, hot, spicy flavor. Commonly drunk in winter months for warmth, Yia'elue is usually served in small thumb sized ceramic glasses, downed in two large sips. An alternate method is to add a small splash to hot chocolate, where the heat of the liquor complements the sweet drink.
