Necahual is a rather recent imigrant to the island, having arrived in the summer of 2009. Due to factors beyond her control, she hasn't been able to get out and explore her new home or meet the people who share it with her. She's fervantly hoping that this changes in the near future.
Physical Description
This is where things get tricky. Necahual is naturally a couatl, a large, winged serpent native to the Amazon rainforest. In this form, she reaches a length of at least fifteen feet, with an equal wingspan. Her body is covered with sky-blue scales while her wings and the feathers on her tail are rainbow-hued. Her head is framed by a crest of hard, sharpened scales and her eyes are a milky white without any noticable pupils. She also has the traditional forked tongue of the serpent, along with several rows of sharp, pointy teeth.
Fortunately, she has perfected the ability to assume a human form. When she uses this ability, she almost always chooses to present herself in the same manner. She's about 5'4 tall, with long black hair that's been gathered into an intricate series of braids. Each braid is kept in place with a single loose feather that matches the ones on her wings in her serpent form. Sticking up in a semi-circle around each of her ears are crests of feathers, and these usually are the first thing to catch the attention of strangers. Her eye colour varies, shifting and swirling through all the colours of the rainbow, and her skin is a soft carmel colour. Her figure is classic and womanly, with ample curves in all the right places.
Her time in Yuriba have shown her shapechanging to have a few limitations, the major one being that whichever form she takes, she is still ectothermic.
Recent Events
Necahual is the newest member of the Town Council, starting near the end of the last summer. She is still rather green behind the ears when it comes to the extent of her duties, but she is enthusiastically giving it her all. Also, this past winter is the first winter in Yuriba that the couatl was able to stay awake for.
