Luci Beth was born to an ordinary family in South Texas. Her mother, however, suffered from several undiagnosed mental disorders which caused her to make rash and unwise decisions. Worse, she was easily suggestible which is why when she was recruited in to a cult, she entered with pride and certainty despite her husbands repeated warnings and pleading.
