Kristine Artima Black

Kristine Black is a regular girl, born and raised in small town East-Coast Canada. As of September 2007, she's lived in Yuriba for three years, though much of the first year and a half was spent in the recording studio and on a small summer tour with her then-band, Daemon. Since then she's been wandering the island.

Physical Attributes and Skills

Kristine is of a slim build with little to no excess fat or muscle. Physically, she appears a little underweight but is in fact about the average for her size and age. She has a firmness to her muscle, which comes from being outdoors much of the time and exercising, though she little to no tan to speak of.

Kris is a great lover of art and anything to do with creation of art and thus has turned her body into a canvas for artists wherever she may travel. It started with a tattoo of her band logo on her calf and soon became a full-fledged obsession to get tattooed. Much time and love has gone into the work on her body and she's proud to show anyone willing to have a look.

At a young age, she began playing the guitar and by the time she was in junior high school, she was starting bands and performing in talent contests. At age seventeen, she was awarded a a medal for "Best Musical Performance" in both her high school and in the area where she lived; she played the Rush song "YYZ" with a backing band picked by her. She is reluctant to show off her skills on the guitar as she believes that anyone can play anything if they try hard enough, but is has been known to start so-called "Shred Showdowns" when playing local venues in her hometown.

Sexuality

Kris knew she was bisexual long before she ever started dating. Growing up, she was a tomboy but always got along fine with both the girls and the guys; dating a few boys throughout high school as well as a few girls on the side. She took both her boyfriend and her girlfriend to her senior prom and explained her actions as not being gay or straight but as finding love wherever she could. A firm believer in "sex is still sex no matter who you get it from".

Recent Developments

As of June 2007, Kris has completed a six-month drug and alcohol rehabilitation program for both alcoholism and cocaine addiction, both of which are problems she has battled with before in a previous stint in a rehab program. Upon successful completion of the program, she returned to Yuriba to have a peaceful and relaxing life; she's even picked up the guitar again and has been working on a few songs.
