KoYasha

Koyasha is based on the character Inuyasha from the manga and anime of the same name created by Rumiko Takahashi. The character is used without permission. For information on Inuyasha's canon past, go to the Inuyasha wikipedia page.

KoYasha is a female hanyou dog-demon, born as a male named Inuyasha. She became female when she set foot on the island of Yuriba.

KoYasha's background dates back to 200 years ago, in feudal Japan, where he was born. Inuyasha was born from a human mother, Izayoi and a great demon lord, father, Inutaisho. Inuyasha's father died protecting Inuyasha when he was just was an infant. Inuyasha's mother died a few years later, when the hanyou was just a child.

During his the search for shards of the jewel known as the Shikon no Tama, he ended up getting sepporated from the rest of his well known group, entering upon an unknown village known to most as Yuriba. Inuyasha himself did not know that the island was completely full of women.

Upon entering the village, something strange happened to the dog-demon - he was transformed into a girl, not by some strange water, but by something magical. From there on out, he has had to live his life as a girl and is very much trapped as one until he can figure out a way to either transform back, or, as the expression goes, 'get the heck out of dodge'. So far, he hasn't managed to do either of these.

So, he lives his life as a girl now.

Koyasha now lives with Kikyo, a priestess who was Inuyasha's love and the protecter of the Shikon no Tama. Their love for each other grew until they apparently betrayed each other. However, the apparent betrayals were faked by a ruthless demon named Naraku, who used Kikyo and Inuyasha to try and get the Shikon no Tama. Kikyo and Inuyasha were lovers back in the acient times fifty years before Kagome came into the picture. She followed him to Yuriba and there they built a temple and now they live together along with a demon slayer named Sango who was on the trail for looking for her brother when she spotted Koyasha.
