Clone. Homunculus. Abomination. These could all be considered appropriate labels to be applied to the small albino girl known as Joy-3, the official designation given to the girl when she emerged from her artificial womb, waking to find that she was not a natural part of the world, but finding, as time went on, that she could be considered an important part, by some. Sent away from the strife she found herself involved in by her 'Master' (her designation for the woman, despite said woman's protests to the contrary) in the hopes that the peace of Yuriban may be a positive influence on her, she now fights to try and live up to her final orders, to 'live a normal life'. And she always tries hard to do what she's ordered to, when the person giving them is important to her.

Appearance
Joy-3 is a study in conflicting messages. She's small, looking no more than a child, really, her frame small and delicate even for her apparent age, if also seeming to be physically fit, rather than abnormally frail or sickly. She's quite physically attractive as well, though leaning considerably more toward 'cute' and platonic appeal than sexiness... she looks quite harmless, really, stirring feelings of protectiveness in some, and the image of easy prey in others. Yet, at the same time, she doesn't look average at all on the surface: her skin, hair, and eyes bear the obvious lack of color caused by lack of pigmentation, the obvious symptom of Albinism. Her skin and hair holds little more colour than the white of fallen snow, and while the eyes of such individuals are often a pale blue in humans, hers are a bright red, making them even more striking. The combination tends to result in making her stand out in a crowd, despite being of a stature that would normally leave her hidden within it. Her behaviour, very quiet and introverted by nature, helps temper that tendency to stand out, but only until someone notices her...
Personality
Joy-3 is a quiet, introverted girl, whose behaviour often seems far more mature than her apparent age would suggest. She generally speaks quietly, voice nearly monotone despite its natural pleasant tone She's nearly as subdued in her physical movements as her speech, most times, seeming to consider many of her motions before she makes them, and making only small ones if possible, rather than big energetic actions. She's hesitant to strike up conversations or approach most others, as she's had very little experience with 'normal' people and lacks many of the simple experiences that helps one to relate to others; this is less evident when the subject in question is one she's familiar with, which usually involves fighting of some sort... of course, even then, she often restrains herself, remembering her orders to avoid becoming involved in such things if she can help it. While she may appear cold and distant, she isn't cruel, and will actually attempt to assist anyone she finds to be in peril, though just what sort of help she may offer can sometimes be more trouble than the original problem... but she does try.
Special Powers
Joy-3 is a genetically engineered bio-weapon, cloned from a human girl and modified before she was grown to better suit the purpose she was intended for: combat with supernatural beings and enemies of the organization that created her. Her strength, speed, and resiliency are all far above 'normal' human levels; she's highly mobile and athletic, possessing not just incredible potential, but impressive skill in utilizing her gifts, as well. She heals far more quickly than a normal person, and from wounds normally lethal to humans, short of truly 'final' trauma. Her 'natural' senses are far more acute than a human's, and even more so than many natural, or even supernatural, predators, and she also possesses the abilities to see easily in the dark, to hear sounds pitched too high and low for the human ear, and to sense subtle changes in heat in her surroundings...as well as an ability similar to many animals' to detect unseen presences, and hone in on their locations. To augment her offensive capability, she had bone-like claws grown into her, which she's capable of 'popping' through her fingertips; sharp and strong enough to cut through thin steel when combined with her physical strength, they've also been enhanced by a process that was never explained to her to pierce the defenses of many supernatural creatures, affecting them as they were baneful to their nature... she was ordered before leaving for the island never to reveal them unless it's a life and death situation, however, and she follows such orders seriously. To augment her defensive capability against supernatural attack, her body was infused to be resistant against many magics and supernatural abilities, whether inherent to specific creatures, or more ritual in nature. While attacks based solely around inflicting harm through unnatural means can still do so to her, to a lesser extent, attacks affecting her mind or more esoteric manipulations often find themselves less than effectives against her. Finally, she was given extensive combat training to augment her natural instincts; she's a deadly foe in close combat; this being the priority in the training program, as the 'production model' is intended to put targets at ease by appearing harmless until it strikes. She has learned to use more long-distance modern weaponry, but since she doesn't have any with her, it isn't likely to be a skill much utilized on the island.
All in all, she's as far from human as many of her primary intended targets, an irony that she is well aware of, and a curse she had come to accept, despite the wishes of some that grew to care about her... one of the primary reasons for sending her to Yuriba was the hope that she could shed some of her past and find some peace, to enable her to have a brighter future than the one intended for her.
Science vs Magic
Joy is actually a blend of both genetic modification and hermetic ritual, though the organization that created her took a rather scientific route to their use of even magic, as well. As such, she will register as a supernatural being to some means of detecting such things... however, that magic was only used to 'nudge' her into being a viable creation via science, and to enhance some of her abilities, rather than infusing her entirely. The question of whether she actually has a soul or not is still up in the air, as of her leaving to come to the island; her magical defenses cloud the detection of such things considerably, leaving the results rather murky, at best.
History
Joy-3 has had a...troublesome life-experience since she was first awakened to the world. The 23rd prototype (despite her being lied to, and informed that she was the third) in a project intended to create a potent new sort of living weapon, and a failed prototype at that, due to her albinism, a side-effect of her engineering, she was made use of by the secret multinational organization that created her nevertheless, as a test subject to help hone the 'educational' program to be used for the future final models. She was only given a truncated version of this education, however, focusing upon the combative aspects, without more than a very basic exposure to the socialization aspects that would make the final models blend in as normal-seeming, her albinism the more physically obvious hindrance to that objective. While doing so, they also performed extensive testing on her to try and determine how to overcome the latest problem in her design; she spent as much time being poked, prodded, and scanned as she did 'training'. In addition to the actual lessons imparted to her, she was designed to respond, on a physical level, to a particular person, and view them as her absolute 'Master' through a process similar to the 'Imprinting' of birds, though heightened in potency and speed considerably. Each of the Joys was intended to be controlled by a single member of the organization, which would give her orders and direct her in operations.
She excelled in the combat and physical education given to her as she was designed to, soaking it up immediately, and meeting all the expected benchmarks of her handlers... and as they began to work on the next Joy, their testing on her and work with the results having given them confidence in being able to overcome the design flaw... she was unceremoniously sedated, after being told she was to be given another test, and stored in a cryogenic storage tube, to be shipped to another lab out of country, the imprinting process set to activate on the first person she encountered upon waking. And so she slept, as the world went on around her...until one night several days later, when that lab was torn apart by violence and fire. A raid by a secret governmental organization that had been investigating the group, and decided it was an enemy of the state. The lab fell quickly, mostly made up of researchers and some skilled training personnel, only a small security contingent in place, as the Joys had been compliant and obedient since the 12th generation. And, during the mop-up operation, agents going through the records left behind on functioning computers, her pod was discovered, and not long thereafter, activated by accident when the power was cut during a clash in a holdout pocket of resistance, as the leader of the group, Victoria Catherine Helsing arrived to examine it, summoned by her lieutenant leading the operation. Thus did Joy-3 meet her new 'Master', as her imprinting process activated, much to Victoria's future consternation.
She was taken into custody by the group, as it was clear that handing her over to a governmental social agency was an unacceptable option. As they came to learn her capabilities and background, which to the credit of Victoria's humanity, despite her long involvement in running a black ops paramilitary organization, horrified them. Joy protested that she could assist the group in their mission, to remove supernatural predators that threatened the welfare of England and its allies from the shadows, a mission that had originally brought them into conflict with the group that produced Joy when they encountered their agents taking down a threat they'd been watching without sanction, finding that despite their apparent shared purpose, their ideologies were incompatible. It was only after much hesitation that Victoria approved a probationary period of allowing Joy-3 to do so...and she did so very well, at first, receiving additional tactical training from the group in the meantime, even as Victoria tried to explore means of delivering her to a more normal life, attempts at which didn't go off terribly well, though Joy tried to comply.
This finally came to a head nearly a year later, during an attack on the headquarters of the organization itself by their foes. Joy-3 was instrumental in defending the base alongside Cin, Victoria's pet elder vampire, personally killing over thirty-seven of the invaders, twenty-two of them human, fifteen not...five of them, sharing her own face, if more natural colourations...more advanced models of...herself. The group finally came through the event triumphant, if not unscathed, Joy as much so as any. This was the last straw in Victoria's ongoing observation of Joy's life, or lack of such, as she felt it should be. And so she was sent away, despite her pleas, to a location she knew would be safer than any other from her various enemies...and hopefully, from herself, the peace of Yuriba rendering Joy's instincts toward violence unnecessary, if all goes well...under orders to 'try to live a normal life', with a promise to visit before long. She wept on the boat for the first time in her life, after having been separated from Victoria for over three days, her imprinting playing with her emotions...but she would follow orders...she would...she will...
