Gleamsteel

Gleamsteel is a catch-all term for any divine metal across any world. Though its name varies from universe to universe, planet to planet, and even society to society, the one thing that they all have in common is that they are metals created and gifted to the mortal realm by divine beings.

Several examples or presumed-examples exist, both in legend, and in truth. Gleamsteel is typically indestructible and unmanipulable by mortal means, though the divinity who created the material is capable of rescinding such conditions, or are capable of placing others upon it. It can appear in specific form, or crafted to meet its requirements. The material cannot be reverse-engineered or whatever powers it is imbued with easily mimicked. Usually, it resembles earthy metals, such as iron, bronze, gold, etc., but can just as easily be phenomenal and unprecedented in appearance. Typically the material is empowered by an unobservable energy source to give it its extraordinary traits. These traits can be subtle, such as inspiring courage and confidence, to profound and awe-inspiring.
