Fee is former resident of Portland, Oregon and recent traveler of the Pacific Rim who arrived on the island of Yuriba during the evening of September 12, 2008 under mysterious circumstances. She is currently attempting to learn more about the island, the meaning of her arrival, and how she might get back home.
Physical Description
Fee is mostly understated and unassuming in appearance, which is just the way she likes it. Perhaps the most striking aspect of her appearance is her close-cropped auburn hair (she can't be bothered with maintaining longer hair and prefers not to present herself as excessively feminine). Her heart-shaped face has a pale complexion (aside from some freckles) and delicate features. Her mouth is constantly in motion, either speaking or forming a lopsided grin as takes in her surroundings. Her height and weight can both be described as quite average. She has narrow shoulders and a slim, almost boyish torso. Her hips, however, are wide and flair down to full, sturdy thighs.
Fee prefers casual and comfortable clothing that reflects her generally understated style. She gravitates towards whites, grays, blues, and muted earth tones. Her ideal wardrobe contains many sweaters, corduroy trousers, and comfortable walking shoes.
Personality
Fee's personality could be described as multi-faceted (of course, she would point out that everybody thinks of themselves as multi-faceted). She is socially reserved, preferring not to be the center of attention in any sort of gathering. This inclination is sometimes sabotaged by the fact that she does have strong opinions about many, many things and sometimes cannot help but express them. She does not like socially aggressive people and often distrusts those who appear to be "trying too hard" to socialize.
Fee is intensely introspective, constantly questioning her own thoughts, feelings, and desires (as if she sometimes does not trust herself). She is an academic at heart and often finds herself looking for meaning and connections amidst divergent aspects of her life and the world around her. This inclination has led some to describe Fee as over-analytical and cold (of course, she would disagree). Despite her sometimes cold exterior, she can be quite sentimental, sometimes intensely so as reflects on her own life and history. She cares deeply for her family and close friends and never forgets even a small kindness.
Despite her introspective nature, Fee is often aggressive in her desire to see and experience new parts of the world and meet new and interesting people. She believes strongly that it is impossible to truly know yourself without experiencing cultures and ways of life that differ from your own. It is this wanderlust, coupled with her desire to understand her own thoughts, that has led Fee to travel the Pacific Rim extensively over the past five years, constantly searching for meaning in her own life.
