Faerie Circles
One of the more confusing parts of Yuriba's unusual geography is the network of Faerie Circles that connect different parts of the island. Large rings of blue-tinted mushrooms mark a circle, seeming to grow in a variety of disparate regions, some not even clearly part of the native geography of the island. At night, they often seem to emit a soft glow, pulsing like a lightning bug.
The Faerie Circle Hub, a central area through which the disparate other rings can be easily accessed, is best reached from the Village Center by going a block south from there, then turning east into a ring that houses a small business area. From there, look for the faerie circle that takes you to the hub.
The hub itself appears to lie deep in the forest, the trees pressing close together and preventing anyone from passing between them, but the magical faerie circles in the clearing allow any explorer to go to the Forest Grove, the Beach Cove, a Mountain Cave, back to the business area, and then directly back to the Village Center. Each of these areas, other than the Center, has open space for future home owners or entrepreneurs to build and establish themselves.

Building a portal is covered in the Portal Creation guide. |
The Forest Grove opens into further areas, a rain forest, a bamboo grove, and a pine forest, and also has a path out to the corner of Cedar Lane and Spruce Lane in the Yuriba Forest. The Beach Cove is in Maboroshi, just south of Water Lily Road, smaller circles from there accessing a black sand covered beach, a windswept beach, and a beach with white sands. The Mountain Cave is lit by a strange fungus, and is just north of southeastern Maple Circle in Akibimi-san, and contains tunnels leading to a snow-covered mountain, a stony mountain, and a forested mountain areas.
