Esther

Esther Marie Paget was born on Feb. 14th, 1989, in Frejus, on the south coast of France, the daughter of Clovis Paget, a wealthy exporter, and Estelle Grève, an amateur painter and model. Esther's parents began living apart when she was ten, and divorced several years later. She keeps in contact with both, although the relationship with her father has often been rocky.

At an early age, Esther became a noted student in her class, earning prize marks in French, history, and physics. She particularly excelled at debating and composition. In her lycee in Paris, she was voted class president when only in her second year. It was then that she began laying plans for a political career, aspiring for the Presidential office in her country, the head of the European Union, or the Secretary General of the United Nations.

In April of 2004, at age 15, Esther came to Yuriba on the recommendation of her mother, who knew of her intimate preference for the same sex. It was hoped that she would learn to find intimate partners who would mix presentability and discretion. Estelle, through a friend, placed Esther in the home of Yokiko Sugimoto, charging Ms. Sugimoto to keep an eye on the younger woman. Her father knew nothing of this purpose, thinking Esther was interning for Microsoft Japan.

Esther would come to enjoy Yuriba, and the occasion of her sixteenth birthday in 2005 was marked by a great party in Twilight Girl House, the residence she shares with Yokiko and Avel Yudena, an Olympic athlete and athletic instructor. Many were in attendance.

Scandal would reach her shortly thereafter, as it was discovered that she had plagiarized an essay for literature class. She was placed on probation and her college plans looked to be in some doubt. However, the school later lifted the probation.

Further complications ensued when her father had to come to Yuriba at the request of the school, and discovered that the place her daughter was living was actually a lesbianism-favourable community. In anger, he attempted to have his daughter hastily married to Baron Dieter von Willert of Baden-Baden, Germany. Through events unknown, she managed to disuade her father and avoid this. She continues to aspire to attend the Sorbonne, Cornell or Tokyo University before beginning her political career.

Esther has been linked romantically with various women, including Maki, Gravity, and Pandora, but has not promised herself exclusively to anyone. Considering her personality, it is debateable if she will do so before her career begins. This independence has led some to criticize her as aloof and haughty.

Esther can usually be recognized by her tightly curled hair, and her tendency to wear clothes that leave her long legs free. At times she is seen wearing glasses, but inexplicably will not wear them at other times. She is known to have the power to ice skate on any flat surface at will, any time of the year. In addition to French, she speaks English well, and has some fluency in Japanese and Madarin.

Esther is fond of seafood and very dry wines. In her part time, Esther loves to read about aviation, explore historical places, and listen to American pop music of the 1950's and '60s. She likes to swim and exercise with a rapier, with which she has been expertly trained by an adventurer named Louie. Her fondest dream is to represent her country at a formal White House dinner, wearing a peach gown and her lover or wife by her side.
