Danielle
Danielle Luena is a woman in her mid-twenties, who hails from the island state of Hawai'i. Raised by a professional surfer of a father, she was introduced to the sport early on and maintains a love and passion for it that shows in many aspects of her life. She's a very fitness-oriented person, but at the same time, loves a good helping of junk food now and then. She's a pretty positive person, and is generally a friendly face. One of the few things she can't stand are people who act like children, even when they're clearly not. And like most people, liars are also a bit of a turn-off.
Yuriba isn't too different from Hawai'i, as far as the island living and love of beaches goes. Adjusting to this, at least, shouldn't prove too difficult. She's a very athletic woman, and just about every activity she enjoys could easily double as exercise. From swimming and surfing, to the occasional run and basic cardio workout.
She was raised by a Hawai'ian father and a mother of mixed ethnicity, to include Japanese. Both her parents practiced Japanese Buddhism, and Danielle still identifies with the faith, and can often bring up the subject of karma regarding her actions or those of others.

Physical Description
Danielle is quite tall, standing over six feet tall in total, and weighing in at a solid 165 pounds. She has a natural tan, and her larger frame has benefited from her active, athletic lifestyle significantly. She's a fine example of an athlete, with a toned physique and solid musculature. She keeps her hair short and unstyled, and whatever her natural color is, she's changed it to a sandy, bleach-blonde.
Romantic Interest
Danielle is polyamorous, and her tastes in other women can vary. In a sense, she's not terribly picky as long as the woman she chooses to spend her time with fits into two categories. Mature, in the sense that they're not going to act childish or do/say anything immature. And, as long as they're truthful with her, she has no problem engaging in such open relationships.
History
Pre-Yuriba
Danielle was born in Honolulu Hawai'i, the daughter of a Japanese/Chinese American chef and a Hawai'ian American surfer. Her mother operated a small restaurant on Waikiki Beach, while her father was a professional surfer. While she learned some cooking from her mother, her father's surfing was a huge influence on her earliest days. The second she was able to swim, he had her in the water. And as soon as she could stand, on a board. Rather than pressuring her into it, her father encouraged and Danielle ended up loving it. She participated in many junior competitions, and won several of them. She did okay with school, but her main focus was her surfing, and she ended up landing a few professional sponsors before the end of high school.
She spent several years in Hawai'i doing pro-tours, then went to Japan to visit some distant relatives and go down to Okinawa, to see some of the beaches there. She ended up in Yuriba after her flight back home was delayed for a day or two because of a tropical storm, forcing her to take a boat, which ended up on the island.
