Ancestry
Tracing back Cheza's family tree is a tricky process as even Cheza herself will admit. At their very earliest they the Winora name was attached to The Banner of the Anglo-Saxon tribe Named Winorarati. The earliest Relatives that she ever found was Rothwin And Lenorata. Though their names might be lost to history they were quite famous in their time. The Winorarati tribe had majority control over the southern Briton during the early 11th century. Within this time much of what is now Great Britain was divided amongst several tribes each vying for power.
At this point in time Rothwin was a soldier, fighting on the front against those that might invade the land the Winorarati had cultivated and settled upon. On the other had Lenorata was as close to a princess as would exist at the time born to the leader of the tribe Sir Etherd. She was the sixth of ten children and the third of four girls. Unlike her sisters, Lenorata much more interested in the art of war. An accomplished Tactician by age ten she soon became the first woman of the tribe to lead the army, and at such a young age.
Though there was much fighting before it was not until their introduction to the vikings that the tribe truly faced its toughest times. This new group of highly trained and brutal people feared no death and terrorized the people, plundering everything they could in the process. It was this turn of fate that brought Rothwin and Lenorata together. As this threat grew worse and more destructive these two slowly became more and more prominent in the fight against them.
Ultimately they won there war with this new enemy as they had done so many times before however this time was much different. Most of the tribe was killed, along with most all of Lenorata's family. Rothwin and Lenorata took it upon themselves to lead their people as husband and wife, changing the banner name and adopting it. This was the first time the name Winora was used in Recorded history.
While that Tribe did prosper and the Winora name did so with it the next winora's the are worth mentioning would of course be her grandparent's Edmund and Cheza Winora. Edmund was a rather poor boy growing up however as a courier for the more noble's of London he was able to make some invaluable connections. By age 28 he was an industrial capitalist married to his beautiful wife. Edmund was a smart man and he could see the money in the growing cities of America. He moved the family which consisted of a young Lenore whom would eventual birth Cheza the second. By the late seventies Edmund had made a fortune, much more than he had made before and the family was on high times.
By this point the young Lenore was all grown up... And addicted to several types of drugs. The problem grew to the point that she was cut off from the family. She wandered about until she finally arrived in Los Angeles. She gave birth to two children. The first was Allison Wendy Winora, or often nicknamed Alice. The second of course was Cheza.
Early Years
Anybody who knew Cheza growing up would say she was a rather nice girl. She was very shy and often nervous, and her inability to say the word 'no' would often land her in troubling situations. Of course anything that she found herself a part of was much better than her home life. Lenore was not only addicted to everything from Marijuana, opium, heroin, crystal meth, and cocaine but she had take to selling herself in order to support this habit. A usual evening at home would often consist of Cheza burying herself and homework and reading while the sounds of her mother screaming in pleasure from their living room.
Her sister became more of a mother figure to her than her mother ever was. While the two were out of sight for her mother to work these two read books about the world, played pretend games, and hoped of a better future. However Alice had the grades to accomplish such dreams. When Alice was 18 she made plans to study abroad at Tokyo U, a city in which both sisters have wanted to visit for several years to see the ferris wheel at night among other sights. Alice had every intention of saving Cheza from this life. She even took her mother to court to attempt to gain custody of her younger sister. However all of this was for naught and she was denied custody. Her mother even refused to let her see Cheza before leaving.
This was the beginning of a rather dramatic time in her life. As it became obvious to Lenore that her children wanted nothing more to do with her she became more unstable. Soon she began attempting to offer up Cheza to the Jons she was servicing. After one attempted to have their way with her she was able to break free and flee this house of horrors. However she was found by cops wandering the streets scared and alone not two hours later. She was brought back to her mother kicking and screaming. After that she was locked up in her room all hours of the day, her mother attempting to groom her in her job. One night Cheza had finally reached what one might call her breaking point. She smashed through the window of her apartment and leaped tree stores down onto a car. Se broke her arm as well as her leg but she was able to hobble away from her house, finally free from it forever. She was 12 years old when she began this adventure, which she still to this day calls 'Her greatest accomplishment ever'.
The Start Of Her Adventures
Cheza left the city of L.A. and wandered along the highway, though this was nearly impossible for her considering the fact that she could barely walk. Three days of pulling herself along found her half dead outside of the city of Santa Barbara. A martial artist by the name of Miyasa Konise whom was driving home from a competition when he spotted the young girl. He stopped on the road and quickly took the dying girl to his home where he and his wife live. When she awoke she found herself in a strange bed, a strange house, in strange company. At first her fear was that these people would send her home. And more over, her mothers mental torture made in incredibly hard for her to allow anyone close to her.
She lived with them for weeks before she said her first words to them. Before that they left her alone, the few times she left her room they would speak kindly to her. Miyasa even bonded with her over his zen garden, which she loved making designs in. Miyasa's wife had very many one sided conversations with her. During these she told that she had survived ovarian cancer and that she had no ability to bear children. Of course Cheza was still weary but these people treated her with nothing but compassion. When he did finally begin to talk to them they grew closer. This family... When Cheza years later attended their funerals she would call them 'Mother and Father'.
Miyasa was a master of Jeet Kun Do, the martial art's pioneered by Bruce Lee. Over her next four years by her own request she would live and breath the philosophy and martial arts of Bruce Lee. By age 16 she was skilled of it, mainly due to her non stop training that she put herself through. She kept thinking to herself that this would keep her safe and protect her. She would be proven right by this time and time again.
Feeling she had overstayed her welcome (although that couldn't be farther from the truth.) On her 16th birthday and in the middle of the night she left the her newest home leaving behind only a note of thanks and a promise to return one day.
Hoofing it south, she eventually reached the border to Mexico. Of course not realizing the kind of danger that could come from being south of the border she crossed it illegally. Of course as she traveled from city to city she did see a shooting here and there, but always managing to avoid and problems herself. Eventually she found her way to Bahia, Brazil. After walking around for a bit she found her way to a bar, sitting down for nothing more than a water or two. What she got into was her first bar brawl. Now Cheza would admit she was not strong at all but she was smart. She knew how to hit and where. Add in the fact that two men who are only as strong as the fact that they think they are vs. a girl who actually knows to fight... It wasn't even a competition.
The bar owner was so impressed by her show he offered to hire her as a bartender and bouncer. Cheza was excited by the prospect so she quickly accept the job. For the next year she would work doing this. Perhaps more important about this time in her life however was a discovery she made of the sexual nature. The bar owner had two daughters Luna and Menina. Almost every night of her stay at this bar one or both of these sisters would sneak up to her room. At first all they used to do was talk but soon it developed into much more than that. She never even considered the concept of sex with the same sex before but soon she couldn't think of anything that made her happier.
However her fun in South America would end. Because of the fights that she had caused her to become a bit of a folk hero. Shome people lined up around the corner to fight the young girl. However many were very upset, being humiliated by her. On a cool august day, two men entered the bar with guns. Though none of the shots hit Cheza, two of which hit Minina the youngest sister. She died later that day. After that Cheza stowed away on a ship heading to her motherland of Great Britain.
Learning Her Past
Cheza celebrated her 18th birthday in the cargo hull of a ship. Her meal for the day was some bread she was able to steal from a sack. When the ship finally docked she made sure she wasn't seen as she left. In a strange turn of events as she attempts to navigate the docks she catches the eye of an older gentleman who see's her and does a double take. This man is Edmund Winora, making plans to bury his wife at the family plot. He waves her over and asks her name. Cheza of course not even realizing that the name winora even means anything tells him her first name... but adopts Konise as her second. However, upon seeing her grandmother in her youth she almost tells him her real second name (for the fact they looked so similar.
She decides against that however and simply continues that charade before leaving. However in truth her grandfather new that that was her. He also knew she went missing years ago. And he response to him that day actually filled his old body with happiness and respect. While she lied to him that day their interaction led her to a two year study of her family history. It was in this time that she eventually found the lost remnants of her ancestors Rothwin and Lenorata. Of course much of her time along the English countryside was also spent practicing her skills.
It was also during this period that she tried her first alcoholic beverage. It was a tequila slammer which she fixed herself after seeing a showing of Hard Boiled in a theater she stumbled into. To this day she will attest to that being her favorite drink. Once she was done there she decided it was finally time to meet her sister in Tokyo. By this point in time her sister was living in Tokyo as an accomplished Author with two books published. Cheza hopped the next train from London heading south. However one of the few things she took with her was her native accent.
Tokyo And Japan
It might have taken Cheza a while to arrive in Tokyo, about 8 years to be exact. But when she finally arrived the first thing she did was watch the cherry blossoms. She had no home and had been unsuccessful in reaching her sister on several occasions. She spent her first two days in the city living among the cherry blossoms though she had no complaints. Finally after Alice was made aware of someone trying to contact her. She went to the park and there the two sisters were reunited after all these years. They only spent a day catching up with each other. Cheza told her everything that she has been through. It was a long story but the book her sister wrote about it won much praise.
Once Cheza was done, the two said their goodbye's as Cheza went on a six month hiking trip. She traveled north all the way to Hokkaido then all the way back down to Ryukyu. While sailing from one island to the next a brutal storm hit the boat knocking her overboard. When she awoke she was on a strange beach.
Arrival on Yuriba
Cheza's first reaction to waking up on the island was a bit of confusion. She wandered around with a headache for most of the first day. It was once she wandered into the hot springs that she first learned of where she was and how for the most part how she ended up there. It was also there that she slept her first night (not realizing about the inn right across the street). For the next few days she explored the island, often getting lost and sleeping under the stars. In that time she kept to herself much more than in later years so it is rather fair nobody really remembers her in her younger years.
She liked the island so much that it is understand able that she didn't first leave the island until another few years had passed before the first time she left. A note had found its way to here requesting her presence in London, England. At first she had assumed that it was in connection to her family that she had found though that was not the case.
Return to England
Upon her return to England she learned why she was really there. As it turned out her grandfather had now passed away as well. And while it took her Grandfather quite some time to find her she was able to arrive before the funeral, which was a lavished affair. The most noteworthy thing about this funeral (or at least from Cheza's point of view) was this was the first moment since she was twelve that she saw her mother.
Her mother, since last they met, hadn't changed in the least. In fact, Cheza's running away had lead to even more strife within the family. This lead to her mother growing an even greater dislike toward her. However in the end it was Cheza laughing. Her grandfather never forgot there first meeting and had always thought about it. That is why he left her almost the entirety of his estate.
Cheza had no idea what to do with all that money and had never needed it in her travels before. While in England she began looking for things that she might invest it into, hoping to put it to work while she continued her exploring lifestyle. She go several offers right from the get go with most of them being from friends of the family.
