Ainara is a permanent fixture in the Yuriban Lighthouse. She has not left it since she came to Yuriba and continues to maintain her ever watchful vigil.

Appearance

Description

Ainara is a lithe woman who tends to always have an obviously suspicious gleam of mischief in her dark stormy teal eyes. The woman's hair is a messy affair, straight and wind tousled, short and choppy. Lush fiery streaks of red pour down the smooth dark blonde hair. It is gathered into a small dragon's tail at the nape of her neck.

For her lean frame and rugged taste of sports, Ainara has doned a tastefully ripped black t-shirt and red baggy cargo shorts with many extra pockets. They seem to be put to good use, bulging from where their owner has stuffed them full of the odd knick knack here and there. For footwear, the woman has donned a pair of slim black shoes, pinstriped in vertical thin red lines. They look perfect for sneaking or jumping off of any nearby cliffs. With water beneath them, that is.

Personality

Ainara is a strong willed young woman who tends to keep mostly to herself due to the strange circumstance that brought her to Yuriba. She is of the mindset that if you can have just a good a time alone as with another and has yet to be proven wrong. Not much is known about her personality other than that.

Biography

Growing Up

The young Ainara was adopted by a rather normal family and grew up in fairly regular conditions. She hadn't suffered any of life's greater strifes such as losing someone close to her heart or suffering many hardships. Instead, she lived a peaceful stress free life on the cliffs near Chile, diving off with her younger siblings towards the pounding surf below.

Then one day the normalacy was shattered.

Ainara dived after her youngest brother Jorge and barely made a ripple in the calm waters below per usual. A chilled darkness passed over her form and when she surfaced moments later in a slight panic, the shores of Chile were nowhere to be found. Instead the young woman was left floating near the small clifflets that borded a large lighthouse. Frightened at the strange set of events she'd been tossed into, Ainara swam towards the coast and quickly took refuge in the lighthouse. She considers this strange island to be a horrible nightmare and as such, refuses to leave the lighthouse's safety. Though during certain times of the day, the sillhouette of a woman can be seen diving from the top of the lighthouse and into the churning waters below.

The Strange Island

Year One

Ainara spends her days solitarily within the lighthouse. She has yet to move outside of it's walls except when fishing on the coastal line or diving from high off the balcony.

Year Two

Having spent a year cooped up within the walls of the lighthouse, the girl begins to slowly go stir crazy. A person can only eat sea food for so long. Soon after Ainara gathers up her courage and takes to sneaking off through the village during it's twilight hours, though often turning tail and disappearing into the woods at the first sign of human life. She expands her daily roaming area to the Yuriban Mangroves.

Year Three

After spending yet another catious year roaming around the island by sticking to the dense overgrown forest and living in the lighthouse, the girl decides to leave the haven and go on a short trip to the other side of Maboroshi. Unfortunately for her strong sense of curiosity and innately honed luck, she finds the Shuitanyanniichuan spring. Horrified, the girl takes to the lighthouse and refuses to leave it for many months. Only after becoming slightly accustomed to her new attributes does Ainara once more venture to the Yuriban Mangroves.

Year Four

What Ainara did during this time is unknown. The signs of life that once inhabited the lighthouse fade away and then near the end of the year, return once more.

Year Five

Four years later, the girl that had arrived lost and terrified on Yuriba's shores has grown and soon celebrates her nineteenth birthday alone. She only roams the island at night and still tends to avoid the villagers whenever possible, but isn't as torn anymore. Ainara frequents the Yuriba Free Library at night along with visiting the Starlight Shrine to pass the time.

These are people whom Ainara has met when they came up to the lighthouse observatory. They range from a few brief enounters to daily interaction.

These are people who insist upon staying in touch with Ainara. These can be rather strained one sided relationships though since she refuses to leave the lighthouse.

Ainara has no family, adopted or blood, living upon Yuriba soil.

Romantic Interests

These are all people Ainara has either claimed as a romantic interest, girlfriend, or more, both past and present. Since she considers this island a strange and possibly dangerous place, she hasn't even remotely considered the chance of finding love here.
