Inspiration

The physical inspiration for Aerin could be listed as Ida Ljungvist though Aerin has a larger chest, thicker hips & thighs, and much longer hair (at least 3-4x). The hair would be darker with the different shades of gray as well, and of course the Kitsune trademark eyes and tail. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ida_Ljungqvist

History

Pre-Yuriba

Aerin’s mother Etsuko came from a mating of a very powerful African warrior and a very powerful male Kitsune of an ancient age (greater than 5000 years). She was the favorite daughter of the male however being of both African and Japanese heritage she was outcast from both cultures. She ran away from family to Ireland. Taking the name Eithne she met Shamus O’Shea and married him. Cursed to be barren and her magic sealed away not realizing she was pregnant at the time their daughter Aerin was cast into the same curse. To be barren.

Eithne was beautiful and a wonderful mother. She had secrets..and Aerin never learned them. She did pass unexpectedly when Aerin was 10. Then at 12 job opportunites came to Shamus who was still in mourning. They moved to New York. This would become her home. Accepted there, she went to a public school. Growing up very poor she entered into a music program that eventually produced a girl who could play electric guitar and sing rather well. Playing with other students they decided to create a band – Punk Face. The time in school was different and New York was a jungle of concrete, people, and stone. Much different from the green near Beldfast. Aerin struggled with this, but as she struggled to find her own identity, her father struggled with alcoholism. He was still in love with his wife. He did however pull himself together within a year to support Aerin.

Over the years Aerin struggled with relationships. Becoming sexually active she was never satisfied. Trying different partners, boys, girls, all kinds of private dirty things. Never was she satisfied. Convinced she was some kind of bad lover her relationships always went sour because the fact she wasn’t satisfied. She would stray or they would. Eventually it ended poorly no matter what. Punk Face did rather well as a band, and she was chosen to be the lead singer. She was hit on by the manager. Aerin offered him a choice – He could fuck her, but if he didn’t make her orgasm she would never sing for him, or for anyone else in public again. He took her up on it and unsurprisingly failed. She refused to sing and the band broke apart as she refused to change her decision.

She originally wanted to be a chef. She watched a lot of food network and idolized Bobby Flay. However she didn’t have the financial support to go to school. She began working as a freelance ‘ronin’ Guitarist, her look was unique so many bands would pick her up, however she never joined a band. She also began working at Hooters for regular income. Spending several years floating through life her father helped push her through a time of uncertainty. Dating both men and women, and even trying both at the same time her father accepted her bisexuality which was a surprise to Aerin.

Aerin found herself in a loveless situation, using all manner of sex to try to feel /something/. She began using drugs. E, pot, she even tried cocaine. She ended up in the emergency room and met a doctor – Lisa Muello – 7 years her senior. She struck up a conversation, and the two began a friendship. She convinced Aerin to go back to school and get away from her bad habits. The two became closer over the next two years as Aerin attended a NYC technical school. She began sleeping with Lisa at graduation as they began to see one another on regular routes. On-again, off-again, Aerin was never sexually satisfied, but was in love with Lisa. The two eventually settled into a non-monogamous relationship where they both knew they had other partners. However Lisa was jealous, and would hurt Aerin within their relationship. Aerin would hurt her unintentionally. The balance became toxic and eventually Aerin broke things off. The two remained close however and Lisa encouraged Aerin to return to school to become a doctor. Aerin finished more schooling to become a NYFD firefighter-paramedic, then listened to Lisa and enrolled in NYU. She finished her first year of pre-med with good marks.

During a call to a shooting, Aerin’s ambulance was attacked on scene. Everyone was killed..or so was thought. Aerin’s body and soul were saved by an ancient Kitsune – her great grandfather. Keeping her from dying she patched herself up. A cranky old fox, he pulled out Aerin’s Kitsune form, forcing her to a human-Kitsune form and nature. Explaining minimally he guided her to Yuriba. It was a long and painful journey. But now that she has arrived, she seeks to find out what she has become (or..has always been) and find out..can a fox really change it’s fate?

Yuriba

Aerin arrived in Yuriba on 4/29/2015. A newcomer to the island (as of this writing) she took everything rather well in stride. She is just beginning her adventures and has thus far stumbled upon breis, Jaye, and a small slew of people at the 'baby seal'. More will be written as misadventures happen.

Abilities

The full extent is rather unknown as she is just starting to develop as a Kitsune. She has a great potential for healing magic and illusionary however these have not been cultivated yet and thus are not usable upon command. She is just starting to realize what magic is, and without proper guidance will struggle to use any magic as she comes from a place stripped and devoid of nature or magic. (Modern Day New York)

Relationships

Rae - Sparks flew. This woman is..beyond Aerin's ability to write or comprehend. She is strength, beauty, compassion. She is so deep. She is sex personified to Aerin. They have had a very physical relationship, but there is more there too. A budding strong friendship. Rae 'gets' her more than any other on the island except for perhaps breis and her family. She is drawn into the woman's bed, and into her company enjoying talking with her as much as kissing her. Rae is unique. Wonderful. And Aerin feels close to her.

breisleach - A friendly Kitsune that has somewhat tentatively offered to take her in and mentor her upon the asking. Freindly, playful, and not too much of a touchy-feely sort though she seems to be opening up slowly to Aerin. Aerin has a growing respect for the woman and hopes she can strive to follow in her example some day. She is currently staying on her couch, and enjoying the company even if the household is sometimes hectic - it's something she actually revels in. She's fallen asleep curled up next to the Kitsune a few times, tails entwined and she wouldn't have it any other way. She's a lovely napping companion. The respect that Aerin has for her only grows each time they meet and there is a growing genuine affection for her. She's been through a lot in her life. While Aerin has grown extremely fond of breis she is cautious to give the other Kitsune her own space. That being said she's been invited closer every time she's recoiled herself. It is still very early however she would say that she has developed both a friend and a mentor in the more experienced one. breis is one of the people that make her realize that as mature as she thought she once was - she is still so very young. She brings out Aerin's playful side and sometimes her thoughtful side. She looks forward greatly to the time she offers to share with her and her family as her own personal treasure.

Atara - breisleach' mate. A draconic dragon woman of ice. There is a beauty to her, and much of that beauty lays within. I just met her but feel rather close to her. She is a little wary of me, but I think we actually are getting okay around one another. Aerin is touchie-feely, Atara is not, and they have a pretty fair understanding. Aerin is very fond of Atara and sees strength, power, and will. Things that she falters with sometimes. Traits she hopes to pick up as she spends more time around the dragoness.

Jaye - Met by chance and someone that Aerin happened to strike up a conversation with near the water. This pleasant conversation led to a new friend however upon their second meeting she was ill from arriving with improperly looked after injuries. Jaye took her to the infirmary and stuck by her side (and even held her hand!) The visit was very painful and extremely exhausting and Aerin was not in her right mind completely. Taking Aerin home (to breis' house at the time) she stoked the fireplace, set her in front of it and covered her with lots of blankets. Aerin pulled in Jaye and the two snuggled up as they drifted to sleep. After spending a soft night like this she has given the wonderfully red-eyed woman the nickname of 'her heroine'. Very fond of the girl she would admit to having an attraction however they remain friends for now. It's better to encourage a strong friendship before rushing forward into anything. She Is excited to see what happens in the future.

Allya – Strange woman, puzzling to Aerin. Childlike. She seems much younger and her boundless energy and mood lead to a spontaneity that she has not seen in someone her age. She’s random, and sometimes that randomness gives her a headache. That being said she reminds her of a child, to be guided here and there to make her own judgements and decisions. There seems to be a good heart, but there’s an ever-changing range of emotions that seem to boil into the girl at the drop of a hat. However she's a mother and Aerin has seen her calm down, be responsible, and very motherly. Her opinion has changed considerably of the woman. This is a new side of her that she has seen. Motherly instinct fully in tact, she seems a good mother.

Isis - No-nonsense doctor of a veiled emotional state. Very good at what she does, but bedside manner could be a little warmer, but could be much colder too. There is some compassion and even humor, I was just too sick to take to it much. The woman has Aerin's respect and she would trust her with any particular procedure.

Miyo - Immature Kitsune girl who has difficulty with emotions. Will be wary of this one. Is brash and may have issues with space with those that she likes. One to keep an eye on so she doesn't bother others, and hurt herself in the process.

Gwendolyn - Some kind of employee at the 'Baby Seal'. Served her food when feeling ill. Was a comfort. Do not know very well, but would not mind seeing again.

Zheng - Well, she's a ball of energy, certainly a cuddler. This small butterfly youth was just what I needed when not feeling good. Freindly, she may have trouble respecting or learning boundries, however she seems to be an innocent soul. I didn't mind the closeness and actually grew closer by snuggling her in my lap. She was so warm and giggly, and I was so cold and under a fever. She fell asleep in my arms. Would not mind getting to know this one a little more. As I have asked breis to mentor me, perhaps I can offer some kind of mentorship or stability for her.

Coffee – The person. While fond of the drink as well, Coffee taught her about Yuriba and she is grateful for that. She met her in kangaroo form and the two chatted while she was being educated. She enjoys the company of the woman and could see herself spending more time with the no-nonsense coffee-making companion.

Jubilee - Met for a brief chat. Strange sense in tickle-me dolls. Not unfreindly but she may have some kind of fetish for violence or something? She mentioned being treated for multiple injuries many times. Suggested perhaps not getting these ouchies to begin with. I'm a little confused by this one but I dont know her well enough to make any judgement. Prefers monagomy and perhaps could be a chat partner for such. It's the norm where Aerin comes from even if it's not what Aerin has decided for herself. Jubilee seems intelligent and a touch flighty, which in her case isn't a negative trait as it's sligihtly endearing. I'm sure I'll see more of this one and paint a better picture.

Nasini - Don't know very much about this wolf-girl. Aerin has talked with her a few times, had some tea with her at the 'brew, and when she fell asleep curled up next to breis at the 'seal she pulled her in for some snuggling as they both drifted off to sleep. She's helped her when she hasn't felt well, and is grateful to the wolf-girl for her assistance. She seems to be in love with Atropa, and this relationship interests the curious little Kitsune. Perhaps she could help? Perhaps she will play pranks? Aerin herself isn't sure, but she views Nasini as a friendly companion with some lovely body heat to snuggle up against and leech from. Mmmn. Soft wolfie.

Fujiko - Met her originally at the Dragon's Brew. Aerin is fond of this woman. Doesn't know her very well but is a friendly and pleasant conversationalist which she greatly enjoys. Their meeting was brief, however she hopes to get to know this fox-blessed woman more.

Lily - Fujiko is very fond of this girl. And she's growing on Aerin too. She's met her briefly a few times. One time they fell asleep snuggled up at the 'seal (which isn't all that uncommon for sleepy Aerin to pull another sleepy person in for snuggly sleeping). Lily is rather fun. The self-proclaimed 'queen of the cats' Aerin gives in and plays along. She finds herself feeling fun and mischevious around the..reaper cat? She's not sure how all that works yet. But she knows she likes spending time with this girl. It makes her feel fun, and youthful which she hasn't felt for a time.

Rockpath - Funny name, serious sandwich? Wait no, that's schlosky's. This young woman is rather serious without a full serious bent to her. Met briefly. Brought her to breis' home in bad weather. Short meet and greet with Atara basically. Wouldn't mind seeing more of, haven't formed opinion yet.

Religious Beliefs

Originally she was Irish Catholic, however her mother instilled this sense was silly to worship one god well early on in her life. She originally rejected the Catholic god as one she didn't want to get to know when she learned that homosexuality was one of the sins. This became more antagonistic to her when she found herself identifying as bisexual.

She wants to learn more about the Yuriban deities. She feels somewhat cheated by being taught that there was only one true god. Lied to. She doesn't have a relationship with any of dieties and wants to change that, her heart open and willing to accept. To learn. Her curious nature tells her there's things moving, living beyond her ability to understand.

Description

She is a Kitsune in her very early 30's. One of the more striking features of her physically is her height as she is rather tall standing at a full 5'11. With skin of a lightened dark tone she has a blended ethnicity of African, Asian, and Caucasian descent. This leads to the lightened (or one might say 'creamy' complexion and slightly Asian features like softly widened eyes. Long hair is straight with a black color with a touch of gray blending into the tone. The hair falls from her head to the end of her hips. Bangs are cut in front of her face, and kept to bust level to curve around her face. A classic heart shape curvature lends to it. Large fox ears protrude from the top of her head leaning out to the left and right sides. Dominant features and of a smoky gray color on the outsides they are starkly white on the inside. A slim set of slim eyebrows help lend to various expressions and a small nose rounds out some of her facial features. Her lips are very plump and a touch darker shade than her skin's tone, and her eyes have red pupils and stand out starkly against her skin and hair's darker tones.

Her body's build is a rather athletic one with rounded strong shoulders, a trim body with a trim waist that has some muscle to it that remains curvy and generous and certainly not being what one might consider slender at all. One might say she has been blessed with a chest that is fully formed and generous in proportion with the curviness that comes with maturity yet still having the lift of youth, large and rounded curves have swollen recently giving her even more of a bustline than when she first arrived. Her hips are wide with a rounded curve to her back end. Legs are long smooth and have a curve of muscular definition to them.

She wears a simple black dress made of cotton that covers trim shoulder straps without sleeves, leaving a soft bustline with a v-neck. The dress falls down to a foot past the knee, with a red belt tied around her waist with a small bow tied off on her right side. There is a hole cut in the back of the dress above her rear in which two extremely long fluffy fox tail protrudes outward. The same smoky gray color that her ears are with a few splotches of white here or there. The length of each tail is actually longer than she is taller reaching about 10 foot long each tail. The last foot at the tip is a brilliant white. She wears red sneakers with black highlights are laced up snugly on her feet, black socks coming up a few inches past the foot. A couple of red cloth ribbons are tied into her hair at the left and right side meant for decoration more than any particular function.
